A) R& RC Triggering of SCR
This unit consists of an SCR, AC Supply of 20V, Resistance
Capacitance and associated components required to study the
resistance triggering of SCR.
B) Basic DC Firing Circuit
This unit consists of an SCR, DC Source of 10V, AC Source of 10V and
variable DC source using potentiometer for gate supply to study the
firing of SCR Using DC Supply.
C) UJT Triggering of SCR
This firing circuit generates two pulse transformers
isolated trigger pulses to trigger 2 SCR’s/TRIAC
connected in single phase half wave, full wave, half controller converter and AC Phase control using 2SCR’s or using TRIAC.This firing CKT should be useful to study the UJT relaxation Oscillator is synchronous and asynchronous modes.
This unit consists of 24-0-24V/2A center tapped transformer with
2SCR’s & 1 TRIAC with firing pulses to trigger 2 SCR’s in anti
parallel or one TRIAC in single Phase AC Voltage controller configuration.

B) Single Phase bridge converter triggering circuit unit:
This unit generates 4 pulse transformer isolated trigger pulses to trigger
SCR’s. Test points should be provided to study the logic circuit and firing
angle variation from 180-degree to 0-degree on a graduated scale. Soft start
feature may be provided.

This Unit generates firing pulses to trigger 2SCR’s connected in Auxiliary commutated Chopper circuit should consists of 1 Main SCR and 1 Auxiliary SCR .They should be based on timer, Ramp generator, OP-Amp, Comparator, and pulse transformer isolation method, works directly on 230V AC mains, Frequency and duty cycle variation. Test points to study the logic circuit.

Bridge inverter firing circuit generates 4 isolated trigger output to trigger 8 SCR’s connected in 1-Ph Parallel Bridge inverter.
Potentiometer to vary the frequency from 50Hz to 250Hz with test points and power circuit consists of 4 SCRs, 4 diodes and LC commutation components interconnected to form 1-Ph parallel bridge inverter. All the devices are mounted on suitable heat sink and protected by snubber circuit and fuse. All the terminals are brought out on the front panel.
